cait offered her hands a sniff and released a quiet hum, the combination of scents that clung there originating from the herbs that she had gathered thus far. the girl often found that she smelled strongly of plants, her tendency to surround herself with them on a near daily basis causing their signature to smear onto her flesh and stubbornly remain. it was the primary reason why her pokemon took an investigative whiff of her far more than what was absolutely necessary. she was always smelling a little bit different each and everyday, she supposed. 'i've been out here for hours now.'her attention flitted away from her strong-smelling digits to her partially filled basket, the girl checking that she had gathered the correct herbs for what was likely to be the umpteenth time. everything was neatly arranged, cait careful to avoid an excessive amount of mixing and mess by ensuring that everything was kept mostly separate. "we're still missing one."her lurantis and florges blinked before peering down at the considerable few herbs they had gathered thus far. "chamomile," she elaborated. "we're missing chamomile."they had taken a short rest, well into the morning after a handful of hours had been dedicated toward foraging. cait stood with a quiet grunt, her legs feeling a bit stiff as she settled upon them once again. her companions joined her, and they'd be off to begin their search soon after.'that wasn't too hard.'it wasn't difficult to locate a small clearing where the chamomile appeared to grow in abundance. she was familiar with the area after having visited it countless times as a young teenager, the direct sunlight that presided here encouraging the rapid growth of the white flower. she'd kneel and begin gathering a few for herself before growing still, her gaze raising as she realized that something was peering in her direction."hello?" she called. a vaguely familiar bundle of green and yellow crept into view. cait's eyes grew round at the sight of it, and she'd blink owlishly as it began to approach her. there was a cautious air about it as it did so, its expression mostly flat but its dark eyes betraying its uncertainty."a swadloon?"she cocked her head to the side and then tentatively offered a hand as it neared, keeping her movements predictable in hopes that she wouldn't frighten it off. it delicately sniffed at her hand before drawing closer, emboldened by cait's obvious lack of aggression. "you alone, little one?"cait grinned, the look upon her face fond as the pokemon peered up at her. something about that little frown proved endearing, and she'd croon softly as her fingers delicately brushed against its cloak of leaves. it didn't appear to mind her touch and would even begin to lean against it as the woman caressed it softly. "you're sweet little thing," she observed. "are you alone?"it appeared that it was and it'd soon approach florges and lurantis, their pair greeting it politely before indulging in a bit of light conversation with the wild pokemon.'oh, yes. the chamomile.'she'd finish collecting what was needed before placing it in her basket and standing fully. "let's get going, girls." her pokemon nodded before following her lead once more. the swadloon peered at them as they distanced themselves, a hint of bewilderment pinching at its simple features as all three bid it a pleasant farewell. it'd move to follow, though it lagged behind due to its poor mobility. after taking notice to its attempt, cait gradually slowed to a halt before returning to it."do you want to come along with us, little one?"the grass-type merely blinked up at her before the sergeant beckoned it forward. "you can come with us if you like. my home isn't too far from here."it hesitated briefly, not understanding all of the human's words but comprehending the message behind them. after having received the invitation, it managed a tiny nod.
